Today author Dimitar Katerov will be showing us how to create a custom shading network inside Maya, which will allow you to get Occlusion information from opacity mapped geometry, something that is always a challenging task.
In this video I look at two examples on 3d lighting, and explain the method I use when I'm lighting.
In this tutorial I give a introduction to render layers. - How to setup render layers - How to make a Ambient occlusion and Depth of field layer - And how to combine them in photoshop
In this tutorials I talk about: - Shadows - Rendering - Different lights
This tutorial demonstrates how to use high dynamic imaging.
Advanced Lighting and Caustics with Mental Ray and Maya
In this tutorial we will walk you through the process of creating realistic looking candle flames.
In this tutorial we will walk you through the process of creating believable Lamplight using Maya. To give lamp realistic effect we just can’t put a single point light in the middle but we have to use multiple lights with different settings to produce the result we are looking for.
This is a simple way of making an electron microscope effect. The shader is highly flexible and will work with software and mental ray and is not dependent on lights.
In this part we will finish this project. We will make all shaders and set render settings in mental ray. Follow the steps as shown below.
