Welcome to our FAQ section. This is the area designated to help you use Tutorialsphere better and understand the way it works.
Questions & Answers
1. What is Tutorialsphere?
Tutorialsphere is yet another tutorial index website, some might say. However, we want to differentiate it from other similar sites by trying to present the information (i.e. the tutorials) in a very easy and natural way for the user, without crowding the pages excessively with ads and with a clean and simple user interface. We want to make it simple for people to find the tutorial they need without too much hassle, as well as easily submit their own tutorials.
2. Why should I become a Tutorialsphere user?
First of all, it's free and easy. Secondly, registered users have quite a few advantages over anonymous ones. Registered users can:
- Easily keep track of their submitted tutorials
- Manage their own profile on the site which lists their approved submissions, a list of their latest faves as well as some quick stats. They even have their own RSS feed that anyone can subscribe to.
- Post comments on tutorials, add tutorials to their Faves list, also they are able to Recommend a certain tutorial with one click.
3. Can I download tutorials from Tutorialsphere?
No. Tutorialsphere does not host the actual tutorials on our servers, it only lists links to the tutorials hosted by each user.
4. How long does it take for my tutorial to be reviewed?
It takes no more than 24 hours. You will be notified through e-mail whether your tutorial was approved or not.
5. What do I do if I want my tutorial(s) removed from your site?
First of all, you must send us solid proof that you are indeed the author of the tutorial. If you want one or more of your tutorials removed and you've got the required proof, please contact us. Alternatively, if you are the submitter of the said tutorials, you can always remove them yourself from your Account panel.
6. How can I advertise on your site?
Please go to the contact page and send us your request after selecting Advertising inquiry from the Subject drop down. Or you can e-mail us directly at contact@tutorialsphere.com
7. I've got some feedback for your site. How do I reach you?
First of all, thanks for your initiative. We appreciate feedback from our users. Secondly, you can use the Contact page or our contact e-mail.
8. I'm not getting the activation e-mail. Can you help me?
After registration you must wait a few minutes until the activation e-mail arrives. If you're using a Hotmail, Yahoo or any other free e-mail acount and you are not receiving it, it is possible that it was pushed into your Spam box. In case you did not get it at all, contact us for assistance.
9. I've lost my password. What now?
As long as you remember your username and registration e-mail you can reset your password. If you need further assistance regarding this, please contact us.
10. How can I subscribe to RSS feeds from your site?
Check the RSS Feeds page for detailed information on this.
11. What if my tutorial is in a category inexistent on your site?
Drop us a line and we might create a new category for you.
Submission guidelines
These guidelines will help you submit better, easier to read tutorials and also improve the chances of your tutorial being approved.
Pick a good title, description, thumbnail and tags
Choose a short title that describes the essence of your tutorial. Avoid using titles and descriptions all in caps or that have the first letter of each word capitalized.
The description should have the same purpose as the title, but it can be longer. A couple of sentences should suffice.
The thumbnail must depict the final product of your tutorial or anything that will tell the user what the tutorial is about.
And finally, the tags are important keywords describing the essence of your tutorial. Choose your tags wisely as they can make the difference between your tutorial being found or not in a site search.
Keep the ads to a minimum
The page(s) containing your tutorial should contain as little advertising as possible. The amount of ads should not overtake the amount dedicated for the tutorial itself.
No adult content
Sorry folks, any adult content on your pages (including adult ads) will lead to your tutorial's rejection.
